I am a researcher at the National Archive (NA) that used to be called the Public Record Office (PRO) specialising in military aviation histories and their prisoners of war. The areas of my speciality are:

• Royal Air Force (RAF)
• Royal Flying Corps (RFC)
• Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS)
• United States Air Service (USAS)

It also includes the histories of Commonwealth, Dominion and Empire air forces such as the -

• Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF)
• Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF)
• Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF)
• South African Air Force (SAAF)

Also included are the histories of the Free Air Forces such as those of Poland, Czechoslovakia, Norway, Netherlands, France and Belgium. The information available includes details of operations, training, accidents, personal diaries, service records and medal recommendations, together with many other aspects.
